How to run robots from the command line?

You can use a command line like: “irobot.exe robot1.irb /run taskname /yes /exit” to run the robot and exit after the robot completed.

Yes, you can use a schedule task to run other tasks and do the taskname.   But usually the command line is used when you want to use the windows scheduler to run your tasks.

Hey I tried what you were saying in my task scheduler but it keeps saying file not found when trying to run im assuming that my robot as to be in the same folder as of the .exe and Im just trying to run the whole robot

****And I know this is a lot to ask but I must be missing something when I'm doing this. If you could take a quick little snap shot or something that could clarify things and show me how to do this in a task scheduler that would help out extensively.

Sorry for being not clear.  Here I will explain with a more detailed example.   Suppose you have two robots:
robot1.irb
robot2.irb

Now you want to run robot2.irb as a scheduler and call a task "path1" in robot1.irb every hour.  Here are steps to design robot2.irb:
1) create a task named "path2" in robot2.irb and add an action "A Schedule".
Right-click the action, and select Events..., then add an event:
Event: After each tuple; Value: CallPath('path1', 'robot1.irb')

2) create another task named "path1" in robot2.irb, and add an action "A Schedule".
Double click the action and insert a new item:
Type: DoEvery; Interval: 1; Base: Hour; Action: path2; ActionType: Call as a robot.

Then run "path1" in robot2.irb, and it will call path1 in robot1.irb every hour.
