Massive amount of scientific data online has increased the burdon for scientific workers to collect, integrate and analyze them. IRobotSoft is developing a Web agent technology to facilitates online data integration. The idea is to develop and share reusable Web agents, called irobots (standing for Internet Robots), to automate Web data processing, and allow quick mashup of multiple Web agents. The purpose is to reduce repetitions in the Web application development and promote the sharing of scientific discovery processes.

Users of irobots come from two groups: agent developers, who are interested in the development of repeatable Web agents, and scientific workers, who are interested in analyzing data online.

blastx.irb	Automatically submit the BLAST search for a DNA sequence from NCBI website and retrieve gene sequences from the BLAST hits. (Programming example).
homologene.irb	Search for homologenes from NCBI website in batch and save the results in an XML file.
pubmed.irb	Download Pubmed abstracts in batch and save the abstracts in an XML file.
